Bad question. People from the future are still people, not encyclopedias. Social and technological movements are not linear/one way streets. There is no monoculture.

Great question except how could you check me? If I made up a title, or even said that entertainment doesn't work at some point approximate to that the way it does now, you couldn't argue.
The only way is to travel to the future, learn about something epic, like WWII in this time, and go back. Then if you meet someone in, say 1906 who says they are from 2011 and ask about WWII, you can confirm their general knowledge of a major event, even if you feel differently about that event.
Another way is to ask them to speak/write/type in language that is unique to their timeline. Language is always changing. Or just read a few posts and if they don't slip into something that doesn't make sense, then they aren't from the future.
Of course, that doesn't rule out 14 year olds, but in this case, you'll have to depend on your judgement.
