Was there ever any depiction of the Grim Reaper wearing red instead of black? My uncle told me that when I was little and playing Castlevania Bloodlines made me remember and got me curious.

Red implies fresh death, black implies rot and decay.
Like blood just shed from a wound, or a lethal wound.
Although, it could just be a cosmetic change for the artist of the game.
