Here's a map of New Mexico, with a certain geographical area circled. It is this area which I wish to discuss.
It seems to be the center of disappearance cluster, as based on Paulides' investigations. What I find most odd is that the area in general appears to fall close to the purported Dulce Base. However, the cluster is also extremely close (and by any measurements, encompasses) Taos, where the well-known and mysterious 'Taos hum' is claimed to be heard routinely. Does anyone - preferably someone who lives there - know more about this area?
Any legends, stories, urban legends, or myths concerning the place? I would also be interested in hearing about crime statistics, as well as that concerning disappearances or cult activity.
I have a few, but I'm not connecting them to anything paranormal or even a concerted conspiracy: for now, I simply want to get a 'feel' or the area.
