Okay. I fucking hate the term Indigo child but I was called one before I even knew what it was. I prefer empath but whatever.
Life is full of Us and them, lines drawn in the sand. Like the Myers Briggs personality test, there are varying degrees of attributes we all have that are ultimately just categories we made to try understand ourselves better, we cut the pie to try and take smaller bites to finish the whole.
How I view myself is similar to how an autistic person views themselves: not lacking/gaining anything, just different. Psychopaths lack empathy, paranoid lack control of their fight/flight response, ADD lack control of their attention. I'm just different in the sense that a different piece of the pie, a different section of the lines drawn in the and, are called normal.
Honestly? I fucking hate it. If I don't want someone to talk to me my brain will go into full on "DON'T THINK ABOUT THIS" mode and focus on it really fucking hard and the person will look over and approach me. I can feel someone's approach before I hear/see them, especially if they're pissed. It takes practice not to project and receive emotions/impulses. Thankfully it turns into white noise in crowded place and it's easy to ignore.
