Lucifer/The serpent - Tempted Adam and Eve to eat from the tree of knowledge. This made humanity see ourselves as separate form the everything else in creation. There are two realms discussed in the scripture, heaven and earth. Earth means the physical world and heaven is the emergent consciousness of creation, god. In paradise, our consciousness was one with the creator but the snake/satan tempted us to eat from the tree of the fruit of knowledge and trapping our consciousness in these physical, very mortal forms. We weren't thrown out so much as we were snapped off. Snakes are a symbol meaning earthbound, as opposed to other worldly (snakes don't have legs).

Lucifer represents the evils of the natural world that pushed us to awareness. That is, our struggles in nature required us to have intelligence and then suddenly we saw ourselves for the first time. The struggle between lucifer and god, is an allegory for our internal struggle of personal will vs god's (collective) will.

The old testament is about negative reinforcing collectivism amongst tribal groups.

A mistranslation from old Hebrew. It was given proper name status by Jerome in the Latin Vulgate. In the ancient hebrew texts "The Morning Star" was a title which a Babylonian king bestowed upon himself. He was finally defeated in battle and killed, hence the passage about him being brought down in the OT.

Satan only means "adversary". The Babylonian king who called himself the Morning Star was "Satan" in that he was an adversary. God refers to himself as Satan several times in the OT, and Jesus calls himself the Morning Star a couple times as well.

Child abuse/child sacrifice to moloch is the signature of satanic worship. Moloch was the a god of fire and destruction. Child sacrifice was practiced in the ancient semitic religion and was believed to be the most powerful type. A parent killing their child in such a cruel manner is the greatest abuse of position and shows a complete rejection of connection to anything else in the world. So whereas Abrahamic religions are supposed to encourage the individual to shed their ego and focus on being one with the world, satanism encourages you to shed all empathy and unselfish thoughts and worship yourself as the most supreme being in creation. Lucifer has been equated to Satan, but generally Satan is the direct enemy to God, trying to bring about the end of the world, where Lucifer represents a more neutral ideology.

Prometheus - in Greek mythology gave fire to the humans, generally represents freedom and intelligence, essentially a more benevolent Lucifer.
