Today I found out a key on how ghosts and spirits can move things on the physical world without breaking the thermodynamics laws: They don't use energy of their own, they transform environmental heat on kinetic energy. That's why rooms get cold when a ghost gets by.

If your theory is right, you should see increased activity in warmer climates, which would give a spirit more opportunity.

I'm not an expert, so I can't say whether there is a correlative effect between temperature and hauntings.
