I dont get why people hate twilight so much, they were ok. The girl was a bit of a psycho but things like that are normal in vampire drama.
If its the werewolves that bother you, or the tree climbing, or whatever... you dont watch a vampire movie because it has great special effects. These things are not important.
Maybe they would have been better of using whatever they use in Vampire Diaries (for the werewolves) but overall its not something that changes that impression of the story.

Underworld, Twilight, True Blood, etc. all have these "secret" worlds with thousands of beings, living just below the radar...that puts it on the same level as a 1960's James Bond movie. Why don't we all wear matching outfits and live in a fake volcano?! Fuckin, pleez..IF, IF, IF vampires actually existed, they would be few and far between. Like lone, serial killers; living on the fringes of society. A true vampire existence would be something like "Let The Right One In" or "Shadow Of The Vampire"...

I watched the movies because everyone was so mad about them and I wanted to know why. I found them pretty entertaining, but too long to watch as movies. I divided them in 1 hour at a time and then it was ok.
All the stuff people were talking about (feminists among others) are just common fantasy stuff. Occult pregnancies, impossible love, happens all the time if you had read/watched any fantasy story before.
But then one of them barges into the mainstream and suddenly its upsetting.
