has anyone on /x/ met an actually illuminati/mason/discordian member?

what were they like?
are they the conspirators they claim to be?
>>
Yes my grandpa was a mason for decades and it's nothing interesting unless you are a billionaire
>>
>>17629608
what about the illuminati/discordians?

they don't need money because they control things from the shadows
>>
>>17629601
My dad is a mason and there is literally nothing special about it
>>
Very personally. And ^ your right.
>>
>>17629608

Sure sounds like a scientology-esque money laundering scheme.

Personally both my Mother and Grandmother were in the masons and they said they performed witchcraft and other occult things.

Hi OP, I have been performing Freemasonry stuff for maybe 6 years. Before that I practiced occult stuff and different systems but nothing really worked.
I found a few things that did work for me, and it wasn't really bad because I wasn't really abusing it.

Long story short, I had some basic impulses and I did go through an extreme leftist phase. But recently as of April, those basic impulses telling me where I needed to be in life, to survive right now. (In this time peroid.) Those basic unconscious impulses turned into full awaking and knowledge of the movements and all parties involved, along with a few other abilities to since memetic shifting in emotions and concepts that are controlling people. It was as if, all at once I knew what was true and not true.

And I saw the whole world differently, and all human history differently.

I can honestly say, it has made me fear God. (and I am still trying to maintain my sanity and make the right decision.)

Fourth link
From the official website
>Masonic Lodges maintain today a long-standing tradition of restricting membership in Freemasonry to men. This tradition is based on the historical all male membership of stonemasons guilds. During the Middle Ages, men traveled far from home and lived in lodges while constructing great cathedrals throughout Europe.
>>
>>17629710
Although that used to be the general rule, and there are still lodges that only allow men, there are certainly lodges that admit both.

yes. Mason exists, illuminati is fiction made from a french women in the 1900s that caught on. Masons is more of like a social club then anything. Its really not that interesting.
>>
I knew a discordian, he was a high function autistic and a fedora tipper. Literally, every cliche personified. Not saying anything about them, just that guy. Also they are not really a cult or religion.
>>
>>17629601
I do gardening for a few masons and live less than a mile from one of their Lodges. They appear normal desu. No horns. No tails. No bald old men sniggering whilst rubbing their hands together.

If it wasn't for the under-the-leg handshake followed by the 360 spin into a high-five you'd hardly tell the difference.

>>
I am a discordian.

But I never really joined any cult because I'm stranded in the middle of nowhere. Brazil.

It is also not something I tell others outside of an anonymous board to be honest.

And not something I tell others at all. Only if, one day, I meet another discordian.

There is nothing particularly evil or wicked about us.
>>
>>17629862

>>17629813
How much do you weigh at what height, and what's your social/love life like?
>>
Several masons in my family, did work for my local grandmaster and he invited me to come by the lodge.
Regret turning him down, but at the time I was so busy I couldn't actually join and goto meetings/gatherings.

Good people, none of the bullshit you read about online. The reason for secrecy/initiations is to weed out those who are not truly trustworthy, as their entire point for existing is more of a social club of honest hardworking people.
>>
>>17629870
160, 6 feet, I have a group of friends, but talk to people outside that group (I'm assuming you meant real life only). Our group has 8 people in it (that includes me). Sometimes we just get together to hang out. I talk to a couple more people now and then, but you know how it gets when people live far away..

My love life kinda crashed in high school, both girls (separate times) felt the same way I did about them, but one's parents scared her bad.. poor girl withdrew from social stuff for a while because of the indecision. I'm glad she's happy again. She's a good friend.

The second was moving away. We would've done so nicely together.. ah well, I try not to dwell on such things
>>
>>17629865

Only If I openly start making rituals in the middle of someone else property that happens to look like a nice and calm valley/pasture, probably yes. The region I live here is like a crossover between a countryside of Colorado and a redneck town. Brazil is pretty similar to the US in this point.

I live in the north of São Paulo's state. People are christian conservatives here.

No one is afraid of me because I'm a pretty normal and nice fella, got tons of friends here and have a good reputation, both me and my family. The only thing I wear all the time is a medium sized pentagram necklace, for personal reasons for outisiders, and because I am a contrarian for insiders.
>>
>>17629891
Ah, okay. I think the "chaos" thing throws them off.. people aren't always open minded, hehe.

I suppose I see what you mean.. you're used to being a contrarian. People might not think your way
>>
>>17629898

I'm a huge believer in chaos and also our goddess. I owe her everything in my life, in the way that I was lost before here and now I was able to raise my son in decency, with a good life.

I once tried explaining our goddess to one of my friend. Not only did he found it spoopy as fuck, he also didnt get her concept at all. By the end of the conversation, I was only trying to convice him I dont do animal sacrifices because I am not a psycho.
>>
>>17629669
You don't join the 33rd. It's an honourific given to A&AR members (for A&AR use), who are Masons which have joined an appendant body to Masonry.
>>
>>17629907
Aw. Well, I'm glad she helped you and your son.

My friends have been able to understand how chaos works.. or at least, the basics. You know, how art comes from chaos.. our ideas, creativity, etc. That's how I explained it.

Have you read the Book of Eris?
>>
I had a math teacher who was a mason. He was only there for a few weeks though, nothing permanent. I have to just put it out there, that I went to a very shady school.

Anyway this guy had one of those rings and when someone questioned him on it an accused him of being in the illuminati (we were all 14 btw), he just laughed it off. I actually can't remember what happened much after lol.
From what I remember was pretty chill, a little nervous when someone mentioned freemasonry though. I don't think he was a very high ranking one though.
>>
>>17629928
(Same poster)

The Book Of Eris is a commentary on Discordianism. It explains some parts about chaos.. I think it holds some examples of creative chaos and how it's different than destructive.

Its a booklet.
It sure as fuck sounds like, I thought the exact same thing. Turns out it was an overview of the story of chaos magic in the US. A brief introduction to Discordia, a ritual for Eris and sigils. Bretty good stuff. I was in fact about to look the writer on google.

Good for starters I assume. It is also good for people that dont know how to deal with it. He also recommends good books regarding discordia.

You probably could go join the masons right now if there's a lodge near you, it's not some secret conspiracy. You just have to meet some basic requirements like being male, believing in a supreme being and supplying for yourself

There's a selection process which you'll most likely pass and after that the lodge votes whether they'll let you in or not. It's basically just a fancy men-only private club. My grandfather was to sum it up an almost constantly drunk low-ranking navy officer (he mostly quit drinking by the time I met him. I still miss him) and he was a Mason.

the idea that there are a bunch of super powerful, super rich and super smart people banning together over blood shit and semen filled orgies and talk about the future of existence. or did you not know that a lot of us see Eris as a goddess?
>>
>>17635074
ah, I see.. They are real things though. not sure what you're getting at here
>>
>>17635075
naah, I just meant there's nothing mysterious about it, like getting to know a discordian a big deal
>>

>Illuminati
were a cool hangout club for cool kids, dissolved in 1787
>Freemasons
Charitable organization about as scary and powerful as Habitat for Humanity
>Reptoids
don't exist
>>

ah, true. I think it'd be cool to meet another one, but you're right, anyone on the internet can download a pdf of the Principia Discordia within seconds (or minutes or days depending on your network connection). It's kinda like what happened with Atlantis. It was an advanced civilization, but now there are rumors about it being filled with aliens or mermaids because people tend to do that kinda thing, haha
>>
>>17635088
Meh, illuminati works in the shadows, problem is the government made up rumors about them being bad to make us think they're the bad guys..

And yeah, you're right about the freemasons

kek.
Fucking people turn 'lel chaos did everything' into a cult now are what?
I tried to read the wiki article, but it basically was just waifu-ifying a greek goddess.
>>
>>17635099
Do you have an evidence they exist?
>>
>>17635122
Because Eris is best girl

>>17635132
I'd be careful with trusting just anything.. but there are references to it in the Principia Discordia
>>
>>17635140
Kek pls. I mean, I know about Eris, and I believe in that everything is just a culmination of chaos, but: If you believe in chaos why should you believe in some waifu goddess character?
And no, I don't mean occult chaos.
I mean the utter chaos that is life and pretty much everything, scientifically.
>>
>>17635144
I knew what you meant, friend.

Eris doesn't ask to be worshipped. some Discordians don't even worship her. But she is the mother of chaos.. through chaos we have our creativity, art, self expression, free will..

I suppose it's nice to honor her for it. Some of us recognize her other aspects as well, (she's known as Morrighan, Freyja, Eris, and Isis) and honor that part of her as well.

But you don't have to
>>
>>17635151
(cont.) If you mean "why believe in her as a goddess" it's because some of us just see her as a goddess, not just a personification of chaos
>>
>>17635151
As I said, I didn't get into it too much. I know Eris as the 'traditional' greek minor goddess, and I read the wikipedia part on it.
Sounds to me like it was just started by 2 neckbeards that gave themselves edgy names while ERPing though.
>>
>>17635157
That's cause the Greeks weren't as fun as us.. she was minor to them. And yeah, they made up cool (or funny) names.. that was the point, after all
>>
>>17635157
Remember when I said that she's known as different things? Like in celtic culture she's known as Morrighan. Well, different gods are honored differently by different cultures.. like how the Egyptians worshipped Ra seemed different than how the Greeks saw him.. to them he was known as Apollo.

We are simply a culture that honors her more.

My barber, who rented out the apartment above his shop for me on the cheap is a mason, knew him for years before I found out, normal guy, very popular.

My uncle's a Mason.

He grows his own weed, 'stills his own moonshine and has battled cancer three seperate times.

He's a redneck and no more-so unusual than anybody else who lives in the south
