I did it for a dumb reason and she already had a shitty home life that only got worse from what I've heard. Her boyfriend cheated on her and left her and there were rumors that her house was haunted. I don't know how true any of this is though since I've cut contact years ago and only heard these from mutual friends. I feel awful about it even though it probably was all out of my control and not because of a made up curse. Like, I feel like I had a hand in it even though I just made up words to her.
