In both recordings it looks like the 'nightcrawlers' are set up on a wire or pulley system, with their walking being automated. They walk in a straight line from a side angle to not catch the wire in the video. Also, notice that in both cases the top part of it was immobile, it didn't move relatively to how the legs moved, and the legs didn't look like they were actually propelling the creature. This is probably just some blokes trying to invent a new monster

You don't need a system of pulleys/ separate pulleys for the legs- just one at the top of the creature- the legs will look like they're walking of sighted correctly

The origins of the video are shady. The one on the web is taken from someone playing it on a projection screen, someone else then captured it on a cell phone camera and uploaded it. Or something along those lines.
Regardless of hoax, this seems like a lame and non threatening cryptid.

There is precedent for these things in folklore. Interestingly enough, I was reading a book where some liberal white guilt fag went around talking to the leaders of all these Native American tribes who were old and about to die and asked them if they wanted him to record anything they wanted to say for posterity. Almost all of them just took it as an opportunity to bitch about the white man pushing in their shit hundreds of years ago, but this one guy kept talking to him about "stick people." Thin figures that showed up at night walking strangely. He used it as an excuse to make the guy go away and leave him alone when it started getting late, but later on he talked more about them, making it pretty clear they were menacing figures. I forget which tribe he was from, but I could probably find the book again if anyone cares. I went to Google looking for more information on these stick people and turned up pretty much jack shit. These are probably them.
