1) Gain further access to increasingly distanced Middle-East region
2) Solve demographic problem in Europe (Workforce, pension, etc. Google German demographic problem)
3) Push solidarity amongst Europeans and create possibility of far right EU state that can go to war on a large scale without being attacked because financial crisis didn't make this happen by creating enemies (because painting Russia/Putin as an enemy didn't work)
4) Force control through financial instruments of increasingly problematic states in the EU like Greece & Italy
