i heartily recommend elaine pagels's "the gnostic paul" and "the gnostic gospels." the former in particular is extremely useful.

So since we're here, I'm curious if you guys have any theories on the exact nature of Sophia's mistake.

Was it similar in nature or maybe related to creation of the Demiurge? Or was it something different altogether?
