Multiverse theory says that every eventually exists in a parallel universe. Thus in one universe there is no multiverse.
That universe would then technically be ours. So our universe is the only one, yet every one at the same time.
What if You are that universe, and every person you see is a parallel of yourself?
Could YOU be the only thing in existence and everyone/thing you see is just a different version of you?

Years ago, physicists were attempting to explain gravity as a particle, string theory was born. M-theory derives from string theory.
Gravity, however, is a field. So string theory, and M-theory, is bullshit.

Existence functions multidimensionally, meaning that in the third and fourth dimensions you have a construct through which a fifth+ dimesnional being (spirit of man) can have a physical experience in a body with a physical environment tied into the incarnated being's sense. Reality is fractal in nature, meaning that every individual part is an individuated, unique reflection/expression of the whole. Our physical universe is the only physical universe relevant to us because we created it for ourselves from a higher dimensional perspective and therefore have set up boundaries on the physical universe, even if those boundaries seem infinitely complex to the human mind at its current state of evolution.
