It wasn't even the jumpscare or creepy mom that spooked me (though it's also hilarious), it was Maggie just sitting there all black. I don't know why but it just felt unbelievably fucking scary like damn near nothing else, even with Maggie being creepy enough already. I guess part of it is how she's an animated character, sometihng about it in that brief second or so where she's there just gives her a legit otherworldly vibe.
