I'd really like to know more about this. Real or fake? Why do think so? It seems slightly far fetched, but really evil shit DOES happen out there. Thoughts?

i think that it is fake, i mean, it is far fetched, but people come up with a lot of fucked-up, detailed shit when they're bored and craving attention. to me, personally, it sounds TOO fucked up.

A few things to consider:
-This is a tumblrina. These are the kinds of people (can't even call them that) that have a man bump into them and apologize just to go and press charges of rape on that man. Or people who's uncle says that they can't have dinner or something stupid and proceed to say that they were locked in a closet and raped (thinking on an IRL encounter and I'm fucking tired, sorry).
-This is supposedly an open FBI case. Which means evidence is being accepted. Which means you could ask the FBI if they have a case like this where they require assistance/evidence, and although you can't actually ask any questions or get any information, you can see if they already have a case actually open on this.
-I can verify there was some shit at Bakersfield, CA. I live relatively close.
Of course, we can sit here and speculate and make assumptions, or we can actually search for information. A couple ideas:
-We can get someone from /g/ to track the IP of the original poster, as I found the tumblr page that the story is originally from, and have the anonymous legion do an actual investigation themselves. If it's real, then the faggots of the internet can beat the FBI to it and make us anonymous heroes. If it's fake, we can expose her.
-We can look up the obituaries for Washington state for the year her/his friend Sam died as well as her other prostitute friends. It sounds like you'd end up with a million of the same person, but not necessarily. You may have hundreds of female Sams dying in the same year, but obituaries always have the age and some times have a brief tribute and even how they died. Then we can see if the story at least has a relatively true base. However, this uncovers very little actual info and takes a lot of hard work.
-We go all Scooby Doo and pack our bags for a flight to Washington. (There are a few specific city names included.) We set up bait, a trap, and stalk the suspect. We then piece together evidence and come to a conclusion.

Sam isn't dead, and she herself confirmed that Soren was lying. Pic kinda related, it's a screencap of a screencap of Sam disowning Soren, but you guys have just got to search for the truth on your own. It's amazing really.
In the end, she's just a crazy homosexual nonbinary square schizoid who stalks people and talks to her hallucinations. Where she came up with this story is beyond me. The people are real. The places are real. This the where the real paranormal investigation comes in.

OP here. Thanks for the info everyone. I was disturbed to my core about this one, and still am. This Soren character is extremely disturbed and I just wonder...what happened to him to make him fabricate this type of sick story? Was he/she actually molested in a less dramatic/horrifying way? I guess I just can't comprehend coming up with and writing such a sick tale.
OP here again. So I've found several disturbing things about this story. One thing was explained in >>17517124 post. The lack of concern Soren's parents display and the lack of concern the school shows. Also I poked around through all the screen shots from the original tumblr trauma narrative and what was posted before and after and at one point Soren posts about the scene in the bathroom where Sam is trying to drown herself. It isn't completely different, but does go more in depth with the scene and adds more dramatic effect. Also, where was Sam's twin sister? Why didn't she have a role?

Or perhaps it's a hole in the story that works in the favor of the idea of this all being hogwash.
Nonetheless, thank you for posting this anon. It was a good read, real or not. It kinda opened my eyes that things like this can really happen to a person and places like these exist, even if it is as I continue to say is all bs. It didn't entertain me in a form of adventure or sexual turn on or anticipation, hell, it didn't entertain me at all (and that's good, it wasn't supposed to). In a way, I feel more enlightened and desensitized. Like I can take the world stage with a bit more certainty, though I can't explain why. Solving the mystery of it being a hoax was fun too, even if only like four of us spared any interest.

The story is gay, but this Soren person is kind of creepy. Reminded me a lot of Luka Magnotta (the 1 Lunatic 1 Icepick killer). Soren, like Luka, was obsessed with himself/herself/whatever and both created numerous, fake online identities to get attention and to manipulate people (as getting a sadistic kick out of how much they can bullshit themselves online).
Soren has all the traits of a sociopath. Sociopaths are great with details when telling an otherwise bullshit story (stealing artists photos, identities, lying about people, even creating a fake Hidden Wiki profile) because they have a perfectly clear conscious when they lie, they actually get off on getting away with lies
Even when she/he gets defensive at others online, she/he pretends she/he's somebody else to gain more sympathy to feed her/his narcissism.
The one thing about the story that really touched the "this is a sociopath" nerve is that Soren non-chalantly expressed that he/she abused animals for a while then quit.
Luka started out creating numerous, false identities, then when he got bored of that, uploaded videos of himself feeding a snake to a python then suffocating kittens in a vacuum seal bag. Then he cuts his boyfriend's throat, dismembers the corpse and plays with it sexually.
I wouldn't be surprised if this Soren person ends up being the next Luka. He/she claims the FBI are looking into his/her case. Maybe it should be the other way around. They should be looking in on him/her/whateverthefuckitis
