For many years, actually most of my life, I have occasionally heard these mysterious whispers. They occur very infrequently, on average maybe once a year. The message is never more than a single word, and always delivered in the same tone, by the same female voice. Typically it's just "Listen!" or "Psssst!" but occasionally it will say my name. I have heard it in 5 of the different places I have lived, as well is in two different locations in forests. The voice usually seems to come from behind me and to my right, and usually occurs while I am alone. But just last night I heard it while my wife was nearby in the same room. She said she didn't hear anything.
Anyone have simular experiences, or theories about what it could be? I don't use drugs or have any history of mental illness.
Do you get followed by a little blue orb with wings?

Probably not a big deal, and almost certainly non-anomalous. Just a rare mishearing of sound.
