Sure do OP. In my city there is an old pub called the Peninsula Hotel. It was built over a hundred years ago by a German immigrant. The foyer has swastikas in the tiles. When Netherlands war broke out and everyone went anti Nazi the family who owned the pub were taken off to internment camps and there are urban legends about secret Nazi meetings at the pub. They probably are just rumours, since the pub was built way before the formation of the Nazi Party but my town is full of ignorant bogans who believe anything.

Swastikas are not nazi if they predate World War II. Up until the nazis ruined the symbol, it was actually a very widespread symbol meaning good luck in the West. I collect hoodoo stuff, and I have a King Novelty curio catalog from the late 1930s - barely prewar - which offered quite a bit of lucky swastikas on its merchandise, not least of which is an outright swastika ring. The following catalog from the same company had every last swastika purged off all the products (in a lot of cases, the people doing the editing just removed the graphic without trying to fill it in with anything else, leaving several products' labels looking weird. I don't blame them - it would have been a big job to fix all those labels.)

Here is the origin of swastika and the explanation why it is maybe the most holiest and widespread symbol across northern hemisphere.
Reason why National-socialists had it tilted is just because then it symbolises the wheel of time turning in to a new age.
It can be speculated if the "hidden hand" behind this modern system used it on purpose, because even if we don't consciously register the meaning behind the symbol it still clicks somewhere deep in our unconsciousness.

Swastika is a symbol. It is not meant to be a realistic representation. I think it is just more simple to understand the relationship between Big dipper and the North star if you draw the line to make a swastika. Also both the Big dipper and the north star have been objects of worship and reverence in the ancient cultures of northern hemisphere and have some kind of mythological attributes, characters and stories related to them. and usually both have been really important in the cosmology of these cultures.

But positions of the Big dipper in that picture are the positions that it is in solstices and equinoxes that have been the most important and holiest days of these old "pagan" cultures.
So it would make sense to draw this symbol showing the most auspicious days of the year.
