It's a straight line. it's curved on Google Maps because of the projection used. There were only two waypoints - beginning and end - on the line I drew on the map editor. The line curves to follow along the globe.

Think about all the places along the coast where Northeastern settlers could have built. Why did they build all their big cities and ports along that single line? Some cities may have been built that didn't become as prominent as originally planned.
Every city int he "Bos-Wash Megalopolis" is close to the line. That's a significant portion of the American population. It's not the only ley line people have proposed, but one of the most intriguing.
