Uri Geller did it first.
As I remember the trick is to bend the spoon beforehand to weaken the neck and put it straight again. When you apply heat to it later on it starts to bend.
The spoon always bends when he has his hand near it and later on even bends more when he has it near his mouth.
It is also possible that certain metals work better than others as well.
