Does anybody remember an 8-bit sidescroller that was shared on here some years ago that was called "Shi"?
The uploader shared it on here in .rar format. I remember it had four different endings, and a very, very, very spooky MIDI soundtrack.
Of the four endings, I remember two of them. There was a gun you could get in one of the "levels" (they was like seven or eight separate rooms that counted as them, I believe) and using the gun on one enemy would lead you to the end where you were killed by police when you exited the house.
The other ending was where you went through and, I suppose, did nothing morally reprehensible throughout the course of the game, and when you exited the house you were struck by a meteor and killed.
It's been six or seven years since I played it, Google searches have brought up nothing over the years, and I don't have the HDD it was on anymore.
Anybody remember this, or better yet, have it? Also, spooky non-lost obscure stuff general.
bump, come on guys dont fail me

sorry bro i was in the shower, I really appreciate it.
The soundtrack was always what did it for me, it is the creepiest i've ever heard in a game, to me.
I'd definitely add Gyossait to the list of creepy games. Gyossait has amazing vibes and really spooky atmosphere, really occult background also.

That's better
I used to visit /x/ regularly. This is my first visit on /x/ this year. Not much changed since the last time, though. Literally the same threads with the same content.

Gyossait is well known, as well as other amon26 games (The Hunt, Au Sable, All Our Friends Are Dead). I didn't add them, because they are very well known.
I used to have an extensive list of flash games / movies from newgrounds, but no one ever on /x/ shown any interest in them, so I deleted it, and left only few.

You may have been in the same thread I was in years ago on here. I remember /x/ compiling a crazy large list of flash games that we'd discovered. I found Gyossait that way, and I remember there being a really somber, nostalgic, sad game called "I Can Hold My Breath Forever." We all loved that one in the thread.

Yeah, I remember that as well. I remember that I contributed a LOT of stuff, albeit I wasn't the one who posted "I Can Hold My Breath Forever."
I did start a lakeview cabin thread long before that game became a thing.
But very rarely there was any discussion, and mostly it was just me dumping some stuff, so I just gave up at some point.

Any one heard/played Middens? And Gengiva?
I think they fit and are free.

Don't give up on strangers, Anon. I'd love to compare lists of games, but I deleted my folder of bookmarks on games because it just got depressing seeing the list and knowing real life is kicking my ass and I have no time for any spoopy fun.
