These guys are on point, OP. Sounds like your alien abduction started off with you driving home on a Thursday. Presumably you were only a few miles from home when you saw it -- a glowing orange object somewhere to the east of your position. The object moved irregularly and eventually abducted you with a bright flash of light, and while you may have been conscious during the following events, your memory must have been wiped if you were because then, next thing you know, you're at home! I hope that clears it up OP.

It would be cool if it was aliens, but honestly the most likely explanation is that you had some sort of mild seizure and drove home "on muscle memory". Seeing a bright light and then doing things without remembering it is a pretty common symptom of epilepsy. You should go to a doctor and get a test before you fall over randomly one day and split your head open on a table
