I'm sure most doctors wouldn't approve or would be like wtfever, but if you did find something and let's say you have a friend in med school or who's in practice/ doing an internship they could at the very least direct you so you could be performing one correctly. A vet could also give you guidelines as to wtf is normal and what's not, more insight into weird or rare conditions that occurs in animals, etc.
