Alright /x/. I don't know if you guys really believe this crap or not, but if you do and actually have something for it, here's some shit.
> live in house in crappy suburb
> door to laundry room always opens on it own whenever you go into the basement. always
> don't even need to get that close to it
> could it be the wind?
> probably irrelevant, but my parents had my house blessed by our priest once. always assumed it was just because we were Catholic

Most likely a draft that occurs at moments that make it seem creepy.
A lot of shit that's bought to /x/ is people overthinking thing that are usually not as paranormal as they like to believe.
It could be anything from aforementioned draft, to you standing on a pressure-point in the floor that curves slightly, thus releasing pressure of a door frame tilted at a very slight downward angle or something like that.
Do you have any more information or paranormal occurrences surrounding the event?

I'm not sure I could say that. The floor was solid though, so that wouldn't be it. I wanna say draft too but it was closed like, in such a way that you'd need to turn the knob to open it.
Don't know much about the previous owners but I think by now if there was something fucked up there I would've heard about it.

Oh the floor thing was just an example. It could be any number of things, like a slight curvature to the house itself, or a slightly poorly built frame that reacted to the slightest thing passing by, or a poor lock that should have been replaced a while ago.
Considering that you keep describing this place in past tense, I'm going to go out on a limb and assume you aren't able to go back to the place to check it out?
What was the address? Maybe fire it through google and see what comes up?
>>17470056
I'll google it. I'm just in college now. Will be visiting in a week.
Googled it. Not at the address or on the street, but the road the intersects my street apparently had 7 homicides on this one patch between two streets. Don't think that even with paranormal shit that'd give me trouble so many blocks away though.

Yeah, that's a bit of a broad one. However, you could try to find the names of those who'd been killed and perhaps the killer and see if those names hit any needles on the head in terms of having any relation to your old home.
Not saying it has, but you never know, and it's not like you're suppose to be paying ATTENTION in college anyway.
>>17470109
> Not like you're supposed to be paying attention in college
It's the week before break, nothing else is due and I wanna get spoopy.
Apparently my hometown is supposed to have a couple of haunted places. Will check these out.

Catholics are actually pagans. The Virgin Mary holding baby Jesus is actually an ancient Egyptian goddess. Also Catholics torture the poor little nuns, they get raped by the priests. Catholics are really nasty and evil. Even the popes fucking crown says 666 on it. Catholics always gave me the creeps and now I see why
>>17470119
>Even the popes fucking crown says 666 on it.
Wut?
>>17470116
Keep us informed if anything happens. If not let us die into obscurity.
>>17470151
If you add up the name on the crown as Roman numbers it equals 666
>>17470162
Yeah and if you calculate the curves of every line it might add up to 666 too, but that doesn't make the pope the Anti-Christ.
>>17470167
Never said he was the anti Christ, but Catholics are evil
>>17470187
> calling preists father
> having and worshipping images of god/jesus
> camel through eye of a needle > rich man in heaven
> the vatican is the wealthiest landowners in the world
It seems like they blaspheme right out in the open with no fucks given.
>>17470325
And this surprises you how? A religion that teaches humbleness but complains when the pope only gets 5 daily meals cooked by the best chefs in the world from the finest ingredients.
