What are the so called alleged symptoms of someone that is a vampire turning into one? As in when they "awaken" or whatever what are the 'alleged" symptoms. Just curious, pls help /x/.
>>
>>17468490
how would anyone know if they dont exist
>>
>>17468529
If they hypothetically did exist what are the so called symptoms of it is what I meant. Like whats the most common in folklore or whatever.
>>
>>17468543
craving blood? becoming pale and undead? burning in sunlight? having issues with holy symbols? not enjoying normal food anymore to the point of throwing up?
>>
>>17468553
I heard in modern times they just sparkle in sunlight.
>>
>>17468553
>>17468567
That's a good start, if anyone knows anymore just post it.
>>
>>17468490

You mean like someone else that you're observing?

If it was concerning yourself I guess you would have been partying pretty hard and woke up with bite marks on your neck, not remembering anything?
>>
>>17468598
Concerning me but I mean someone who was born a vampire who comes at a certain age to turn into one or to "awaken". What are the symptoms for that. Not someone who was biten
>>
>>17468598
There was propably some "Lovepotion" in play.

RPers wouldn't know. Only an actual vamp will be able to help you out with those.
>>
>>17468610
Since when are vampires born and get awaken? Is there some new Twilight shit going on?
>>
>>17468610

Vampires are usually sterile (in folklore)so you don't need to worry about being born as one. Unless you're one of those who think it's a natural mutation.
>>
>>17468621
Apparently on various websites it says they realize they are a vampire at a certain age and some dramatic shit happens to them.

>>17468617
>depending on what folklore you're looking at

>>17468623
Some believe that vampires at a certain age after some dramatic event happens to them aka being awakened they fully become one. Or at least that's what the websites I researched on said.

All I wanted was symptoms that's all.
>>
>>17468627
>Some believe that vampires at a certain age after some dramatic event happens to them aka being awakened they fully become one.

If this is your belief go here, I think this place has all the info you need: http://www.vampirismforum.com/
>>

>>
>>17468638
Well it just randomly happened to me that I started to obsess this was wayyy before /x/ faggots RP'd it. Something forced me to be interested in it. I can't explain it. lmao
>>
>>17468490
Blood cravings.

Unusual amount of energy.

Strong, better reflexes.

Unusual sleeping patterns.

Unexplained senses.

These are just some that come to mind. Anything specific, then ask away.
>>
>>17468661
So, hypothetically if someone experiences the ability to maybe... walk faster at night time is that a symptom? Or the ability to run faster or heightened senses specifically at night? And more alert specifically at night?

Also what about the ability to influence peoples behaviors or emotions more does that also exist? Hypothetically?
>>
>>17468638
>>17468652

Been interested in this ever since vampires the masquarede went on tv in like 1998.
>>
>>17468671

At night you'll feel more awake because it's cool outside and the air is clearer. Less traffic and less sounds make you hear things you didn't hear before. Running in the dark makes you feel like you run really fast. It's just an illusion.

It's all things you can try yourself, it has nothing to do with something supernatural.
>>
>>17468672
>Been interested in this ever since vampires the masquarede went on tv in like 1998.

Wait what? I just know the P&P and Videogames. There is a TV Series?
>>
>>17468671
Maybe, the person should be able to tell if noticeable changes have indeed taken place.

If it's the early days, changes arn't immediately noticeable. Give it a month or so.

I can't speak for the mind control stuff, but you do notice peoples behaviour and emotional state. I get an accurate feel on people as soon as I see them.

But that could just be me.
>>
>>17468689

Yes. But unfortunately (or?) it was never finished. There's only 8 episodes, because one of the main actors died. (insert spooky music here)

Vampires ain't real, OP. They don't exist. The only dramatic shit the RPers go through is adolescence with autism.

Grayer/paler and cold skin, generally quite attractive and charming, quite strong and fast, intelligent. You may see them with normal food but never actually consuming it (or only consuming tiny bits).

More outlandish traits to look for, or in other words, that usually don't exist or happen, could be exotic eye colors (red/purple/yellow etc.), prominent fangs (obvious), pointed ears, and cases in the area of people going missing, unexplained murders, and events of total memory loss for a night despite not being around any drugs or alcohol that could cause such a thing.

The first one are all things that are much more common and plausible considering things like actual prominent fangs, yellow eyes, and pointed ears aren't really that common. Who knows though, there may be some magical veil that hides these traits from our mortal eyes.

You cannot be a vampire. There is no disease, plague, or natural phenomena that makes you a legitimate vampire. You can believe you are undead after an accident that kills you and you are resuscitated, and you can get anemia, dehydration, and porphyria. If you were to believe yourself o be a vampire, you may be ill. That's alright, I get high every time I touch someone. That's pranic vampirism. No, I don't, WE NEED HELP LET'S GO GET MEDS QUICK GO
>>
>>17468490

I have pictures of myself with my own blood smeared all over my face and my arms/legs slashed to ribbons, but I'm pretty sure that doesn't make me a vampire. Just a weirdo who got locked up in the hospital for going head over heels into psychosis.

TL;DR Vampires aren't paranormal, they're retards with mental disorders.
>>
>>17468843
This. There is no such thing as pranic, sanguine, or sexual vampirism. There are also no psychic or emotional vampires. The only ones are not actual vampires. That's just a descriptive term at that point. If you were some kind of creature that did weird shit like that, you would probably be murdered, especially if it were contagious.

Role playing and other silliness aside...
There aren't a lot of obvious signs of a vampire. For example the sun is uncomfortable at most in modern times.
Skin is easily made up to airway normal, where do you think the goths originally got the idea to use funeral make up?

>>17468610
Vampires aren't really born. Yes the origin is a curse, but after that it's an infection. Also even given the possibility of a vampire child - they wouldn't magically "awaken." If they were taken in by humans they'd most likely die.

Anyway stop thinking what you see in amines or whatever has any potential for truth
>>
>>17469965
Just switch to soylent. It's surprisingly tolerable and curbs cravings. It might upset your stomach a little at first, but nothing worse than normal food. Eventually you adapt, i think it's easier to tolerate than real food because it doesn't try to be anything more than agreeable it nondescript.

It's unlikely you will ever hear of vampires in modern times. They are old immortal beings. They don't fuck around. They kill to eat and burn the body. They avoid big cities and they don't kill where they live. They don't turn people, not for centuries. They don't need to. The greatest threat to their existence was over population. But, if you wanted to find one, you would want to search for strange disappearances in small (10,000 or less population) towns.

Same thing happened to me. Out of nowhere I decided that becoming a vampire was the only purpose in my life. I had this urge to get up and walk really late at night, or do weird stuff. Eventually I came to the conclusion that trying to be a vampire, and believing that I was somehow "gifted" with the will to become one was merely an escape from the difficult situations I was facing at the time. This "urges" stopped when I accepted myself, made more friends and started to work out.
>>
>>17471690

Someone gets it right. It comes from a curse, but it is scientifically an infection.

I read an interesting hypothetical story about vampirism where the transformation sequence was described in great detail. The person bitten would typically experience flu-like symptoms for the first day or two, which would get progressively worse until it turns into a fever which kills the human "host".

The victim would reanimate several hours to a day later as a vampire, whereupon they would...from what I remember, vomit and defecate all the shit in their body they no longer need, such as old food and all that. Basically, they would change biologically prior to their awakening.

The idea was that the infection would cause a whole new organ to grow on top of the spinal column. This organ was responsible for keeping the vampire alive, and their adrenal-based abilities like enhanced strength and reflexes. Something in the brain would cause intense cravings for blood, though the writer didn't go into that too much.

The reason vampires can't grow old or die is because their cells are biologically immortal. There was a scene where a doctor took a skin graph and observed it under a microscope, cutting it only to find that they would always regenerate, even away from the body. For some reason, when exposed to electromagnetic radiation like UV light or sunlight, these cells would quickly burn up and die.

At one point, the doctors theorized that if they attempted to operate on the victim and remove this "vampire organ", the human host would die immediately, as the parasitic organ was the only thing keeping them alive. They had already died after succumbing to the infection.

Fictional hypothetical study for roleplaying and shit.

Name of the book?
>>
>>17471704

I spent a summer in a small town in Alberta called when I was 11. Tiny town of like 200 people. There was a house there, nice looking. Nobody ever saw the owner. I could see the house from my bedroom window. Whoever lived there never turned the lights on. The chimney would start smoking at around 11 every night.

Finally one night curiosity got the best of me. When the chimney came on, I snuck out and went over. I knocked on the door and holy shit in my pants this guy opens the door almost instantly. Tall, but not scary at all. Long dark hair. Pale. A very sincere face. He looked concerned and simply asked, "Can I help you?"

Seemed genuinely worried, guess that's why he came to the door. I thought of a thousand lies, but stuttered out the truth. "I wanted to see who lived here." Confused now, don't know why I said that.

Apparently it was hilarious to him. He tells me to come in. I think NO. Next thing I know I am sitting on this guy's couch starting into his fireplace. It's massive. It has bones in it.

Everything that happens after is me shitting myself and him explaining what he is and why he is bothering to explain at all. I'm alive because kids aren't worth the trouble for half a meal. I was told to make a story about a boring old man that wanted too be left alone so kids would stop trying to peek into his house.

He doesn't kill people who discover his secret. He just burns everything down and has to start again. He figured he got lucky with me, that I could turn people off. But I heard a couple years later that his house burned down.
>>
>>17471850
so vampires are immortal mass murderers and damned to living alone (and then hell) pretty much?
>>
>>17468950
There may be some merit to that. There's a condition called pica, which usually, pregnant women get. This is commonly caused by some kind of nutrition deficit, but I don't think it'd be too far fetched to say that a very rare type of anemia that may possibly be more common in third world countries or a gene that is being snuffed out through evolution of the human race. Granted, I'm just speculating.
>>
>>17471864

I can only imagine being alone was his choice. As for afterlife, who can say?
>>
>>17471867
Meant to add in -to drink blood. Also, people with anemia also tend to have bad blood circulation, this may attribute to the pale skin that's so common with "vampire sightibgs."
>>
>>17471873
>They kill to eat and burn the body.

if they kill every time they eat they must commit mass murder every month, so over centuries there would be a trail of thousands of innocent people they murdered. if hell is real they gonna end up there.

Keep doing that, you're not really immortal so you should mind your afterlife like everyone else.

Awakening is unique to the individual. How you are experiencing it could be very different from someone else if that is indeed what is going on. I would lurk the shit out of some VC forums until you are sure because most of us are really rude and skeptical of anyone new. The other tricky part is there are a lot of lies being spread around, I can only guess by people trying to make things sounds too outlandish for anyone to take us seriously.

Obviously craving blood is a necessary component. That could be caused by a lot of other things though. Have you actually had blood yet? It will likely make you really sick if you are not a vampire, usually vomiting is caused when that much iron hits the stomach. If you are starving for blood and ARE a vampire, it will hit you like nothing else when you get a taste. Aversion to sun is something that some have and others don't. Same with aversion to religious shit. I have never noticed my skin being any paler or anything when I'm hungry like some claim, but maybe some people it does work that way. I do burn like crazy in the sun if I'm hungry though, and if I'm fed, I tan gorgeously. What about intense headaches or migraines? Do you experience those? Sensitivity to lights, sounds, smells? Feeling a bit out of control perhaps in bloodlust? I am a lot more impulsive when hungry. As far as aversion to people food, that can go in phases. Sometimes you can detest anything, the smell of it disgusts you. Other times you can eat and eat and eat, and never feel satiated. ln a pinch, going to a concert or somewhere with a lot of people is helpful, just being around their energy and taking it in. Severe weather too, but that isn't something you can have access to all the time.

>>17468671
Feeling more powerful at night is definitely a thing.

Influencing peoples' behaviors an emotions comes as second nature even before awakening.

Granted there are those vicious, savage and feral vampires and all. But there are those vampires that seem to wear good and or formal clothes all the time.

I think that are something very close to vampires, maybe a cannibal cult, that endures for ages.

Maybe is a cult, maybe is a secret society, or some mutation, i don't know.

>"Running at night definitely alters your sensory perception. During the day your vision more strongly controls how you run," Farrow tells The Australian.

"At night you rely more on your lower level control, what we call your proprioceptive skills. Your feel for the pavement or roadway or trail is heightened."

Proprioceptive skills are the sense of the relative position of neighbouring parts of the body and the strength of effort being employed in movement. It might sound a little quirky or overly scientific, but it basically means your sense of locomotion.

"So potentially you might run more effectively in that respect because running is best when you are in a fairly automatic state rather than a controlled and conscious state," Farrow says.

"It allows your body to react quite reflexively to a pothole or some uneven concrete. You react a little more effectively than you would if you were consciously trying to control your skill.

Would there ever be these "Pure Blooded" Vampires that're stronger and durable than "regular" or "Lesser Blooded" Vampires?

The Pure Blooded ones are more resistant to sunlight; as in they do not die nor burn up in sunlight, but they're weakened and their powers are stunted when in daylight. But none the less they can still walk around in daytime and they're generally stronger.

Also I'am betting they have a slight difference in appearance to show off how different they are; maybe glowing eyes?

You guys should read real vampire folklore and legends from before Bram Stoker's times, Wikipedia will do. The pre-Romantic idea of the vampire is completely different from this modern idea of the "seductive, unreachable and godlike" thing that lives in mansions or skyscrapers.
