He explained that when he went back in time, it was to a version of reality in which he did go back in time, NOT to his own timeline's past. Time travel according to Titor essentially crosses to a parallel universe, albeit a very similar one. He said he had no way of knowing whether the 2036 in our world would resemble his 2036 in any way at all.
