There was a show on SciFi that replicated both the alien and the floating obelisk before asking Reed if the video was real while being monitored by a polygraph, of which he failed. Guy's a fake.

It was always a sketchy story but the guy really blew it when he told Art Bell later on that the alien came back to visit him several times to teach him about how humanity can improve or some bullshit. It was a spooky and almost convincing story at first but then he turned it into Billy Meir-like alien prophesy garbage.
What about that supposed doctors and samples that were analyzed. This was all faked too? I remember the show having like 3 "specialist" on air with Johnathan claiming that the samples were authentic. I remember doing a quick search on one of the doctors names and he did has some type of profile on the net, but it was a few years ago, don't remember much.
