So im making my own ouija board, im thinking of painting the triangle of solomon on the back, along with some of the sacred names of god and the archangels on it. Yae or nae?

Use a knif and a rock if you have to, hammer/knife combo works well also.

I think it would've been better if you just gradualy sanded it to smoothness using 80, 120, 200 and then 400 grain sandpaper, painted what you had to and just put three coats of clear lacquer on it

Well it was a wood canvas i bought, and i sanded it down with some 220 grit after rounding the edges with a router bit for my dremel. I wanted a bit more color, so thats why i stained it. I wanted more of a redish color but it turned out a bit more brown cuz of whatever kind of wood it is. Im gonna paint the letters on with acrylic paint, in black and might outline them in white

With what you've got, imo, a gold or silver outline would look cooler, but only if you have a steady hand and a real tiny paintbrush.
