I was going through some old phone vids of mine and I came across a vid I took when I found half of a dead goat with its face peeled off at the bottom of a hill at the edge of my neighboring woods. I'm in Ohio so I always assumed it was a coyote or something but could this be like a ritual or something? The peeled face is what gets me.

Two things I noticed:
One, it looks pretty decomposed around only two spots. Was the other side of it's face messed up too?

Second, it's a boer goat. Boers are primarily a meat breed, so it's pretty unlikely that it was some feral one.
