I'm Catholic, and considering becoming a priest (Father, Brother, Deacon, etc. Not sure which exactly yet.)
Is it still possible to live the NEET life while dedicating your life to God?

Yep, lots of NEETs become preachers as an easy out of their situation. By definition, you will still be a NEET though, but less people will call you out on it and you'll have a pretext to act like you don't see the validity of their criticisms. There are priests who are not affiliated with the official Catholic Church, but ordained through "wandering bishops" or episcopi vagrantes. These guys are basically part of the much larger Catholic Church, which is not strictly in obedience to the Roman Curia. They are able to do all the functions of a priest, up to and including the Eucharist, marriages, baptisms, and the rest of the church's mysteries. The limits are, that despite their consecrations and status as a priest, they are still not "validated" by Rome. This is why most Traditionalist priests are considered to be heretics. If not outright, then in secret. The Vatican loves it's New Mass and New Priesthood too much to go back to the legitimacy of the Catholic Church of St. Pius. The status literally must change, basements not even relevant.
Becoming a Catholic priest requires Education, specifically, several years spent in the seminary learning (their specific) theology. That's how the Church ensures you aren't spreading a bunch of uncanonical nonsense. Most, if not all, of the major Christian religions have similar requirements, with the main difference being that you'd go to their seminary instead.
So as soon as you get serious about being a priest, you stop being a NEET because you're stuck with the schooling. Next will come Training, where you serve under someone with some experience and learn how to handle interacting with the congregation.
You can get a bullshit ordination off of the internet, but then you won't be a *Catholic* priest. In fact, none of the major sects of any religion will recognize a priest-mill ordination. That's not to say that being a "paper priest" is entirely worthless. There are people who'll hire those to officiate over their weddings just so they can say they had "a priest" preside.
tl;dr Being a real priest is a job, and it requires the equivalent of a college degree.
