I thought I had created the cure for cancer. I spent all my science on medicine so I could save my cat.
But
Something went wrong. I heard spiders were really good at doing life stuff so I stole some of their jeans and mixed it into my hyper potion.
When Iinjected the serum into mr. Fluffyboots he went crazy and grew some legs and some eyes.
He was an abomination but I still loved him and his cancer was gone so it didn't matter.
A few weeks later ms. Hamwall from next door was banging around so I just opened her door. No one has locks in the city. She had mutaded into a half woman half cat half spider monster.
I was gonna bang her but then I forgot my cat needed to eat so I killed her.
Mr. Fluffyboots is coming for me. I told him to give me a minute because internet explorer is slow and I need to upload this creepypasta.

The only good creepypasta was the one that happened here awhile back where the guy claimed he kept getting his electronics screwed up and stuff and everyone got to play detective along with it. But that was cool because it was "real". No story will ever be scary to read because it is so obviously fake. You need at least some form of video medium that you can immerse yourself in if you just want to feel creeped out late at night

The issue with creepypastas is that they lack major follow through. There's a decent set up (sometimes) but the author gets tangibly bored so just wraps it up. They put no thought into developing the narrative or voice of the author/characters, so it all is flat and unbelievable. It's incredibly frustrating. I'm not looking for a fucking pulitzer prize winner among creepypasta either. It's just if I had to choose between the two I'd rather just go with a greentext. At least there's no pretense of "I'm a writer hurrdurr."
