The void is where your thoughts and brain doesn't want to go.. a place far removed from the cultural upbringing. A place where the world is heavily Gray (as in its not all black and white, evil and good)... Just shades of gray.

It's letting go of your previous conceptions. It isn't done through Astral anything. It is simply becoming like a child again (like a brain of a child). Weed can help this, and also being a little tipsy can as well.
You can activate this space by treating everything in your world like its the first thing you have ever seen.
I use Meditation to help this, I imagine nothingness, and any though I have I forced out... Over time you can forget your name, and programming... This will lessen over time as your brain wonders back to itself (you won't get stuck is what I mean).
I like to call "The Void" and refer to it as a state in which your mind sees the things in it from a very innocent state of mine, and this would mean you can see whats wrong after coming up out of the trance and thinking about your experience seeing things from child like eyes.
