Anyway I wouldn't worry about it OP, stray animals, prank calls or dialing the wrong number or attempted ad calls with a bad connection aren't exactly supernatural or the death of anyone. Unless it has a disease or something. Thing is she didn't tell you about the black cat before the matter, she said it after.

Cats are so puzzling to figure out if you've never had one as a pet. I once found one wandering the hallway of my apartment, took it in and tried to give it water, milk and fish just to keep it healthy but it wasn't having any of it. Not a bite. It eventually reunited with its owner, and later I find out they typically like raw meat and are lactose intolerant.
It was very docile despite the whole ordeal, not like the grumpy or aggressive scratchy kind I always heard about. Then again it was probably still young.

A couple nights after i was awoken i had a very vivid dream of a black cat that got into my apartment somehow. Even tho it was just a cat i was scared of it for some reason.
It slowly came up to my bed and peeked up over the bed. By this time i was scared shitless but then my white cat defended me against it. I just thought it was a weird dream until i read your post
