The birth of a new era.
It's a bunch of circles drawn in a circle in just the right places to get these cool hexagonal flower and it's called the flower of life or something and has to do with math and numbers and people spend a lot of time mulling over its overarcing meaning but really unless the thing has some consequential benefit to something you're actively working with it's just a fun math doohickey.

It's called a Mandala, they appear in a lot of eastern religions. The act of drawing one is meditative and done like a prayer, because the repetitive circles can help get 'in the zone'.

Hexagonal patterns: No idea.
Fluid dynamics: Not really my place of interest. I'm more interested in abstract algebra, and specifically its applications to probability theory. There are some really neat analogous structures from group and monoid theory that show up in places you wouldn't expect.
But I do know that fluid dynamics is often done using decomposition of forces using tensors. Here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cauchy_stress_tensor is my favorite tool for such de-compositions.
