Let's be honest,
how old are you and when did you first come here?
28 here. First came to /x/ in 2010. This board started slowly improving around that time then quickly became worse than it originally was.
>>17332031
I like when posts like this survive and actual paranormal or conspiracy posts get removed. Makes me think there's something to the theories.
>>17332062
This. Inb4 ban.
>>17332031
Disinformation
25, 2009. started hardcore lurking after a breakup/no friends/weed
i miss the streams. it was always pretty bad with some veins of gold. a lot of what you come across here depends on intent while lurking plus a willingness to personally contribute
i'm 20, first came here in 2007
>>17332031
28 came here in 08
>>17332732
I believe you .... ":D"
You know that this board might damage your mental health if you aren't ready to differentiate between shizoprenia and actual phenomena, right?
>>17332790
i mean, I came here when i was 12 and i'm fine. probably
>>17332782
shit i'm 21 not 20
>>17332811
>here for 8 years and still uses an unnecessary
trip
>i'm fine
i disagree
>>17332822
your disagreement has been noted and cannot be argued against
>>17332031
20, came here in 2015
>>17332732
Take care kid. This board can corrupt your mind
>>17332031
22, same here in... lemme think, graduated in 12, so... Yeah, like also 2010ish.
It used to be really creepy, with a lot of good but slow threads. Then came the puddicaust, and everything has been shit ever since.
>>17332031
kill yourself
Let's complain about it instead of making OC creepypasta, making streams, urbex, etc.
>>17332822
agree
>>17332829
tripfags ruin all threads by derailing them. this is fact. pls die
>>17332031
>First came to /x/ in 2010. This board started slowly improving around that time then quickly became worse than it originally was.
Bullshit.
It was bad even back in 2010.
>>17335295
>Was /x/ good?
>>17332031
I actually first came here in 2018. I time traveled specifically to see if the internet was cool yet and I learned that it in fact sucked.
>First came to /x/ in 2010. This board started slowly improving around that time
Egomaniac much?
>>17332031
>16 here. First came to /x/ in 2010. This board started slowly improving around that time then quickly became worse than it originally was.
FTFY.
Fuck off.
>>17332031
15, that was almost 7 goddamn years ago.
And OP is correct, 2010 was swell for /x/, until the tripwars and summerfags killed what had been built here.
>>17335337
best time traveller poster ever to grace /x/ imo
>>17332031
Migrated over here shortly after it became a board in 2007 I am 27
>>17335492
so you were like what, 8?
22. I came here when I was 16-17 and depressed. I met up with some nice /x/philes to explore a few times(thanks for not raping and killing me btw), and reading kept me from being so anxious. I liked starting draw threads, it kept my imagination active and my art skills sharp.
Now there is nothing but fucking religious shit and deep web threads and overtime I try to get a draw thread up or a meet-up thread started it dies in under an hour or becomes filled with off topic retards.
15, i think i came here in 2012-2011
I think I was 15. I was watching marble hornets and somehow ended up here lol. I used to think 4chan was just a porn site. Lol
19 now, started here when i was like 12. maybe a waste of a life? nah
>>17332031
20. I came here in 2010 as well, and recently stopped going on /b/ because it's shit. /x/ and /pol/ are my 2 favorite.
>>17336697
19 now too. Where are you from, Anon?
18 and came here this year.
>>17335294
stop advertising your chat man. or at least slow it down.
>>17332031
18 I'm now 25
>>17337060
I quit going to b years ago I only visit fit/sp/TV/o/x/v
I started 4chin when I was 17, I came to the board a few months in thinking if there is anything actually paranormal on this planet, 4chan would be the one to find out. I'm 24 now and still disappointed.
>19 now
>Been visiting since I was 13 when a friend in middle school told me
>Fuck you nigga, I just wanna look at PlanetLegs
>Visit /b/ of course
>Eventually start going into other boards
>Been lurking /x/ for about 2 years now
>Enjoy the spoops and spooks
>Hate the shit threads
>Think the people who start "How do I summon Succubus" threads and shit are downright retarded
>Not enough greentext / haunted happening threads to keep me entertained
>Visit /x/ and NoSleep just to read now
Keeping post /x/- related, my favorite shit on this board is skinwalker & Chernobyl stories because why not?
I'm a faggot.
>>17332031
27/f
And I think I was 21 or so the first time I came to 4chan. I don't come often, just when I'm bored and want to watch people talk.
Chat rooms aren't as common as they used to be.
came here when I was 23 or so and I'm about to be 26. I usually come here once a week to read some of the paranormal experiences from anons and read up on creepy youtube, deepweb, and regional urban legends. I ignore all the other bullshit RP threads
>>17339109
Tits or gtfo
>>17335553
I literally started the sentence saying that I was fifteen, you should be able to do the math, anon. I'm disappointed.
>>17339159
I'm probably gonna start browsing on this schedule as well. Wish there was continuous quality content, though. This board has a lot of potential.
28. First came here in 06. Stuck around because we would livesream horror movies all through the night.
I'm 32
First came here in 2006.
>>17332031
30.
Lurkchan since ~06
First came to /x/ around 2014 and mostly to shitpost or kid around until I find a thread with some substance.
I have an open mind, don't mean any harm. RP and other crap is a little much though.
>>17332031
>22
>5 years
I used to urbex and get into some really fucking terrifying situations, did a few seances as a medium, got possessed one time and was really big into paranormal exploration. Then you faggots got scared of anything real and wanted to sit on your pasta and astral plane threads, put your balls in a bag, and now nobody every goes out to urbex.
>>17332031
>Let's be honest,
>in 4chan
25 here. around early 2010
2010 too, i miss the nope threads as dumb as they were
DAMMIT BOBBEH
>>17332031
I was an off, and on user of 4chan in 2008, used it almost daily starting in '09. So I would say '09... /x/ seems to be dying.
>>17332062
Whats the theory
>>17339449
Can boards last a week on /x/? Damn it is dying...
>>17332031
2008, 24.
I think I loved x most around 2010-2012.
I think my hate for tulpas and
> "how do i communicate w/ demons"
> "omg u do not want to go ther trust me im a demon"
threads killed it for me the most. I probably browse once a month now tops.
>>17332031
24. 2011 I think.
>>17332031
16 maybe a bit younger. I'm 18 now.
>>17341151
Cancer, kill yourself faggot.
/x/ died after the world did not die in 2012. Fact.
>>17341168
No thanks, I'm good.
>>17341223
I implore you to reconcider.
I remember when tripuser named hastur made spookiest threads ever.
i was 12, now 19. i'm probably one of the youngest non-newfags
i miss gore threads and stuff, i didn't really enjoy them but i do now. now /b/ is just pornography, trap threads furry threads, teen threads, gay threads, cumsslut rolls etc, i only do /x/ these days
but guys we're steering the board off topic (PARANORMAL ETC.)which makes this thread cancer unless we make a conscious effort to have smart conversation about the history of /x/ here.
so please let's talk about something like the most memorable earliest /x/ threads you were a part of. remember that thread where someone had the coordinates of a warehouse and people were arguing about who should check it out and 2 hours later a brave anon went there and he saw black trash bags and then he stopped posting and OP was probably a serial killer or something? that was pretty spooky desu man like yeah op could have been the one posting the pics but it was 2 hours after the thread and if some random anon went there what would he have done if the random anon didn't find anything cool?
>>17341146
boards on /x/ historically lasted for months you dip. i bet you started browsing after 2012
at least there seem to be less energy vampire rp threads than back in 2009
>>17341512
i mean threads, threads on /x/
>>17341512
i cringe everytime i see any magick/magic/magyc thread. Its 2016 and no one can even cast fucking light spell or smthing.
20 now. 16 when I first started browsing back in 2011. I was into MarbleHornets at the time and heard about Creepypasta, and the wikia mentioned /x/ a lot. I didn't start browsing /x/ until a few months later because I attended a christian school and knew 4chan was a bad place. Also, didn't wanna get underage banned thinking that it was permanent (or would last until I turned 18.)
I distinctly remember threads about The Listener on Omegle, a guy who you searched and would reveal himself to very few users. I'm talking a very VERY limitted audience. He also hated /x/ because he hated impersonators and because this board is 1/3rd roleplayers, 1/3rd newfags (it's an entry level board), and 1/3rd "Hey I'm bullied in school. How can I put a curse on chad?" underage users, you can understand why he couldn't stand the place. When he would reveal himself, it would somehow change your life, mostly negatively. I never really believed it. I wanted too, but it was plagued by RPers so it was a waste of time.
I also remember a lot of the Worlds.com spelunking at the time, but never did it myself. I hadn't seen Vinesauce's world exploration until last Summer so it really took me back when I watched it. The perfect playlist along with it really helped bring it together, too.
>>17332822
I was thinking the same thing. Trips are only worth while if we desperetly need to know who a certain poster is to help validate what is being posted. Otherwise, fuck off
>>17332031
same as you.
>>17332031
found gore web at 17 hangs around periodically since then
19. Came to 4chan in 09 cane to X in '11. Was underage on B for so many years without getting b&, shit tier system.
I think I came here in 2008, october, Ironman was streaming Halloween and scary films all month long on Livestream back when it was called Mogulus or something like that, his channel was nightmare fuel. He kept going for some months after that.
This place had a lot of creepypasta, creepy comics, and some conspiracy and occult/spiritualism stuff. But there seems to be more of that now. I'm still here for the creepypastas and greentexts.
Livestreams were cool before /x/ banned them. But I remember there being a time where this place just had so many streams being advertised that some people jokingly referred to it as /stream/
>>17341700
>Livestreams were cool before /x/ banned them
I miss those days
I can't remember the guys name, but there was a dude who would stream loads of Japanese horror films. Would stay up watching with him and a few others every night, he introduced me to loads of cool films like Vampire Girl vs Frankenstein Girl, Mutant Girl Squad, Tokyo Gore Police, all that stuff.
>>17332782
>>17332814
>>17341715
yeah man that one movie with the yandere hollow earth zombie girl was trippy man shit i don't remember the name anymore, that was cool
