Should I read Simon's 'Gates of the Necronomicon' first or 'Necronomicon' first? I picked up the full Simon Necronomicon set off amazon for cheap because I adore Lovecraft and I'm somewhat interested in the occult. I've already read 'Dead Names' so I know about the supposed history of 'Necronomicon' as well as the massive controversy around it.

Simonns Necronomicon has nothing to do with HPL. Dead Names, however, is more of a Necronomicon tthen the so titeled book itself.
