I've asked myself this alot and my take is that of the Simulate reality, yes other people exist but not everyone you see is a real person or soul, some are part of the simulation like NPC. They believe what is in the code and will fight you no matter how stupid they sound to defend thier belief. Everyone has in the system has a chance to be real even NPCs but it's not til they start seeking truth or become awaken til they start to become their own person. The great awakening is just being boosted by how easy it is to find truth because of the internet. Info is so easy to come by now a days that we are all starting to wake up to the system we live in, and the end or apocalypse that everyone speaks of or seeks is just a time limit that the programmer (God) has written into the code til we move on to the next stage of our story
