The PBS logo from the early 70's used to scare me. Yeah I'm old, but never forgot that thing.
I've always been scared by them too and I'm fascinated at finding out why. Some of them seem to trigger some sort of deep, disturbing memories. Something about the sounds and the floating void, or how some of them show Earth from space? They make me feel this sense of definite dread. I have FOREVER had the CBS logo burned into my brain. And for some reason that symbol is associated with the word 'hour' or 'our' to me. I cannot explain it. I remember thinking this when I was young and being confused as to where the symbol came from and why it had a meaning of a word, but I have never asked anyone. Seeing the symbol or imagining it in my head immediately puts a taste in my mouth and makes me warm.
