The PBS logo from the early 70's used to scare me. Yeah I'm old, but never forgot that thing.
>>
I've always been scared by them too and I'm fascinated at finding out why. Some of them seem to trigger some sort of deep, disturbing memories. Something about the sounds and the floating void, or how some of them show Earth from space? They make me feel this sense of definite dread. There's a whole wiki not only about logos, but about how scary they are and ranking them in terms of their scare factor. Here's a link!

>>17281032
I actually loved the viacom logo at the time. And still love it purely because I have a fetish for oldschool logos with their crappy sound quality, over the fresh new ones.

They give me memories of when television and movies didn't used to suck for me, because I wasn't redpilled, didn't analyze anything and just watched the stuff as a sponge.

Wasn't there a one of these with Spider-Man on the last letter shooting a web? I thought it was a Viacom one, but I can't seem to find it.

For some reason I'm remembering a steel blue or grey background like a grid, the company logo and Spider-Man. But the TV show had nothing to do with Spider-Man.

I have FOREVER had the CBS logo burned into my brain. And for some reason that symbol is associated with the word 'hour' or 'our' to me. I cannot explain it. I remember thinking this when I was young and being confused as to where the symbol came from and why it had a meaning of a word, but I have never asked anyone. Seeing the symbol or imagining it in my head immediately puts a taste in my mouth and makes me warm.

please respond I am actually quite intrigued and this has always bugged me

The Paramount logo represents the mount Hermon, the stars represent the fallen host, fallen angels, the watchers that lusted after women. 33 stars, parallel 33, 33rd degree mason shit, one third of creation that rebelled against God.

The following is quoted from the Book of Enoch:

“And it came to pass, after the children of men had increased in those days, beautiful and comely daughters were born to them.

“And the angels, the sons of the heavens, saw and lusted after them, and said one to another: ‘Behold, we will choose for ourselves wives from among the children of men, and will beget for ourselves children.’

“And they descended on Ardîs, which is the summit of Mount Hermon; and they called it Mount Hermon, because they had sworn on it and bound themselves mutually by a curse” (Enoch 6:1-6).

I'm not who you replied to but it's not insane. Many act casually about the possibility of an afterlife. Interesting. That's the same label that the sisters of mercy used to release their albums on. Had no idea they did video too. What kind of movies?

The reason you're creeped out by it is because of what you're associating it with.

Think about it. When do you shut down the computer? At night. That noise is the last thing you hear before... Nothing. Before you become aware of the silence.

Anyone else get nightmares where logo's would be in an unreal environment and their edges were made of neon lights. The logo's also never seemed to stop and you felt anxious like you wanted to wake up and move but couldn't?

Same here. Also old. A lot of things associated with PBS used to freak me out. Many of the synth heavy soundtracks to their shows made my skin crawl. Oddly enough, that type of music attracted me to Boards of Canada years later.
