I deal with sleep paralysis several times a week, some times twice a night

I've been getting it so often I no longer panic and can even open my eyes, I never see anything but I'll usually hear a family member calling me as I struggle to wake up

Rarley I into lucid dreams or experience a couple false awakenings

Does anyone else deal with this? Can you practice using it for lucid dreaming or any tips to make it go away?

when you wake up in sleep paralysis normally the only thing about your body you'll be able to control is your breathing, so just focus n breathing manually, will help you wake up a it faster.

Do you know if there are any sleep habits that might trigger it?
>>
sleep deprivation, stress, some medications and some disorders such as sleep apnea are known triggers

If you stay calm, you can fight the demons. I've forced them back several times now.

I also had this. I started to listen to white noise while sleeping it oddly helped and I don't have sleep paralysis that often.

You should watch The Nightmare, which is a great documentary on sleep paralysis on Netflix

I'm not a big fan of the idea of lucid dreaming but I can control my dreams. Part of my method is to go into a state of paralysis and then fall asleep thinking of flying or swimming.

Sleeping on your back, sleeping too much

I've had this before. Anything that could interrupt your sleep could trigger it. If it persists, try sleeping on your side or do a sleep study.

Shit I literally just posted about this. It's strange because the same exact thing with family members yelling I get. I also see shit though, and go into lucid dreams and have out of body experiences. There are ways to stop it if you want, but if you can master the fear, then it can become pretty useful for inner reflection
