Leiji Matsumoto's ninth planet from Queen Millennia has just been found. Planet LaMetal was nine times the size of Earth and this one is ten times.
I've always seen the influence of Velikovsky and Sitchin's thought in Matsumoto, and Queen Millennia also had the whole 70's "ancient astronaut" thing going on too.

It doesn't look like the manga has been translated yet, just the movie and (in progress) series fansub. Another Matsumoto manga, Queen Emeraldas, is coming out soon on hardcover in English so hopefully this one gets translated at some point.
I have this hardcover set in Japanese, but cannot decode the strange Japanese runes as of yet.
