Bigfoot is an alien/demon that comes from portals. In the forests if you're straddling along a trail and suddenly without any expectation you arrive into a portal and THATS how he catches you. It's not bigfoot that's doing it, it's dogmen. Neither are encountered that often because people don't take into account how fucking huge our forests are. Especially deep brush that people can't just walk into all willy-nilly.
