So, for the sake of elaborating, I will shortly speak about Salo.
The film is not horror, yet it is disgusting and disturbing. Plot contains slavery, murder, rapes, eating feces, sodomisation, even physical tortures that consist of decapitation. And it's not overrated, it's underrated. It is not a gore movie, I don't watch them. It is just one of cinematographic masterpieces.
And then there's that hilarious slightly cross-eyed guy.
Salo shows things like emotions of not only slaves, but the captors too and it gives you that feeling that no one can do a damn thing to escape, they have no other choice that accepting their enslavement.
