How do people know if they are really seeing ghosts or it was a hallucination if they don't take drugs or have a mental illness?
I want to say I saw one when I was younger but the ghost of the person I saw was still alive

I was playing video games in my attic about 8 years ago and I turned and I saw my grandfather standing there, looked at me for a few seconds and was gone. Obviously it was not him, he lives in another state. Scared the fuck out of me
He looked pissed though
