Microwaves messing with them (that includes both WiFi and cellphones).

I was out of work from October 2014 til last March. When I would be at some sometimes, my computer's speakers would start making these weird blippy sounds. They were not beeps exactly. It's hard to describe what they were exactly.

They would happen at different times during the day. The first time I heard it, it scared the shit out of me.

And yes, it would happen if the computer was turned off too.

I started documenting when it would happen. Every once in a great while I would hear a plane flying over when it happened.

I started trying to correlate local flight schedules with the sounds but never really could nail down a solid pattern.

I do live fairly close to an airport and a lot of planes fly over. I'm guessing it was some piece of aviation equipment that had just the right frequency and I was picking up its telemetry.

I eventually got a better set of speakers and I haven't heard it since. Then again, since I'm working again, I'm not home at the times it would happen.
