That's because the bible doesn't real. It's a collection of stories told to children to make them behave in a good manner. The children then grow up and tell their children.. and so on.

All the religions are variations of the same story. It's odd facts woven in with fairytales passed down through generations. Every major religion has a "great flood" scenario at a different date, Noah appears in both the bible and quran, Puranus in Hindu, K'iche' in Maya...that were all probably based on the events 12,000 years ago.

Jesus was just a regular guy that convinced people he was a prophet then became a "martyr" so people kept telling his story and eventually evolved into miracle worker/son of god. As for Mary she obviously lied about having sex.
