I'm a doll collector and doll enthusiast. There's nothing scary or creepy about this innocent doll. It seems to be a doll with dark-skin and wonky black hair. The eyes? Just beads sewn on her. Vintage clothing? I'm guessing that's the style that the creator had for this doll.

My guess is that the creator of this doll is trying to portray a post-slavery African-American girl. I think of this because of her old styled dress and wonky fiery hair that you can see from discarded 1800-1900s photos of young African slaves.

BTW, if this doll was to portray a dark macabre theme to it, then it's dress would've look worn or torn, and it's eyes would look horrifyingly old and creepy. And it would at least have a mouth or lips. But it just seems to be a normal rag doll that someone OOAK with (to me at least).
