Still cant explain the story to myself

i was about 12 years old
friend came over with his 486
playing doom against each other over serial connection
Windows Shutters down cause we started gaming in daytime
weather became really shitty and dark
thunder and lightning frequently appeared
suddenly someone knocked at my shutters
pulled them up, a common friend looked at us
we showed him to come to the front door
i opened the front door, no one was there
we walked around the house, no one there too
Back inside we couldnt explain to ourselves what he wanted
after some time we decided to give him a visit
weather still fucked up but we made it to his parents house
ringing his doorbell a certain times, nothing happened
Sometimes he was downstairs at his parents
so we tried the parent's doorbell
Mother opened, we asked if our friend is there
Mother replied that he is already 3 days on a school trip
and will not come back this week
a week after we met him
he said he was all the time on the school trip

now someone pls explain this shit to me
we both saw him and identified him 100%
i dont believe in para-stuff
And how small is the chance that someone who looks like him
accidentally knocks on a closed and shuttered window ?
