Spooky nature stories?
OC and screen caps welcome
I have a story
>be me 10 years old in the country with fairly large family
>me and 5 other siblings decided to build stuff on a hill
>it's overlooking a nearby town
>we construct a makeshift cabin and a few other things
>a 8 mile hike from the house on the edge of the property to the site
>moving wood one day
>we are usually in a group near the oldest brother
>he is trusted with a rifle in case of bears or anything
>we get split up in a blizzard
>whatever.jpeg
>I know where I'm going so I stay on the path
>hear my brothers and sisters yelling for me
>I yell back
>I stop halfway through my sentence when I realize what I'm looking at
>The biggest wolf I have ever seen I remember every detail of its face
>grey eyes partially ripped ear several scars
>one striking feature
>jet black fur
>I had seen a lot of wolves leading up to that point but none this big
>it just stands there and stares at me
>I start accepting this is how I die
>preparing to put up a fight with my shitty pocket knife
>in the back of my mind I know this isn't gonna go well
>2 minutes pass of the staring match
>it walks towards me
>fighting stance initiated
>10 feet away and closing
>again I can't stress how massive this thing is
>it howls right at me I can feel it vibrating my chest
>all of the sudden this thing looks as if It becomes part of the blizzard
>I can't see it
>no trace except massive paw prints and a few strands of the hair
>I grabbed some of it and stuffed it in my pocket
>I told my siblings they didn't believe me I showed them the pawprints
>we came back later with a camera
>prints mostly filled out but still present
>From then on I can always feel its presence in those woods
I have a lot of unexplained experiences There if you are interested

Go on, anon. I love spooky nature stories. :3
Alright,
>a few weeks later we finish building a homemade ballista
>we shoot ice balls and stuff at this abandoned metal shed
>one day we are having a huge snowball fight thing
>us and our friends in the woods it's pretty hardcore
>I end up alone again when trying to flank some people
>I hear rustling
>ohfuck.png
>it's a big grizzly
>he sees me
>stands up and roars
>I spread my coat and yell back
>he doesn't like that and runs at me
>I swear to god I hear the howling that vibrates my chest
>I run and run and run
>the beat must have gone after the howling or something
>see structure in the woods never noticed this before?
>check it out, a small shack with the floor all busted up
>I notice something, there is a hole underneath the floor boards
>fuck that I'm not stupid
>I run away not looking back
>continue snowball fight
>we all camp out in our cabin that we built
>laying around a fire talking about girls and stuff
>I hear that damned howling again it rattles my soul
>i peer out a little hole in one of the walls
>there it is the same wolf
>I swear he is looking right at me
>we make a stupid plan
>all run out of the caving while yelling
>wolf becomes part of the storm again
>holyfuck.exe
>everyone saw it
>we walk over scanning the tree line
>blood stained snow
>we follow the blood trail like idiots
>nearly the end
>it's a mountain lion
>dead as a doornail
>a single bite on the back of the neck
>canine in nature
>go back to cabin lock the place up tight
>next morning I tell them about the shack
>we go that direction
>see where it's supposed to be, completely destroyed
>looks like it got hit by a large truck
>look around the rubble see the hole
>we shine a flashlight down it
>see rotted wooden frames and some rusty metal
>friend throws a rock down it
>out of nowhere we get the really bad vibes
>have to leave now
>run to our cabin
>as we are running we hear crashing and crumbling
>come back later the whole thing is sunk into the ground

Cont.
>holy fuck
>being the smartest that I was a make a sarcastic comment
>hear rustling in the bushes nearby
>just an elk but still dangerous
>the wind picks up snow comes down harder and harder
>go to the cabin sit around a fire
>wind is fierce almost making a...
>howling sound
>fires goes out for no reason
>too dangerous to try to go home
>have to stay and try to keep warmth in
>snow is piling up outside
>fire is lit but low we don't have enough wood
>hear something sniffing around outside
>look through the hole in the wall
>another bear
>fuck fuck fuck
>now this is the end
>bear can smell us
>it nudged the door
>then cuffed it, it was banging into the door and wall repeatedly
>bear easily started to bust down the door piece by piece
>all huddled together spreading our jackets and yelling really loud
>it doesn't care this fucker didn't have fear
>this is it
>hear the howling again and the bear stops attacking
>runs off into the woods
>huddled together we patched up the cabin best we could
>we barely made it through that night
I'm not really sure why that wolf had so much interest in us or why it protected us but to this day I still have dreams about the wolf

Nice dubs.
Perhaps it knows you?
Perhaps it's your spirit animal?
Who knows?
Glad you pals lived to tell the tale. :3

On a second thought, could've just been the forest guardian.

Probably every time I go back there I can hear the howling

Hmm.. If you ever cross into that territory, please be respectful. :) Spill no blood unless it is to keep you warm.
Starting to sound like roleplay, OP, but I'll give you a bump.
And never, EVER run from a predator unless you know for sure you can get away. That's just an open invitation for them to chase and devour you.
