This has been on my basement wall since we bought the house in 1988, same year I was born. Growing up I was always terrified of our basement and when I'd go up the stairs I always felt someone was right behind me.
I live in Mokena, Il. "Mokena" is Native American for mud turtle. Stupid I know but when building the town they must have dug into some sort of burial grounds somewhere.
Now I'm not really a beleiber in ghosts or anything, but does pic related not look like a Native American?

That's actually p spoopy, especially if you grew up with it. At first it looked like a monster with big teeth and open mouth but I can also see it as a face with a beaded necklace which shortens the face and lengthens the nose to look more like an injun.
