I've seen some cool stained glass before, but that's pretty fuckin' epic.
>>17065524
Thanks for the thread, OP. This sort of thing always makes me think how mortal we are as a species.
>>17065578
Also how destructive. Same thing, I guess.
>>17065641
Jesus.... no matter where that is, it does not receive the attention it deserves.
its lame there isn't more videography of abandoned places. Would love to see nice long clip of the grass rustling ever so slightly and the clouds lazily rolling by.
I live about 15 minutes from Joyland. Though they're finally bringing it down for good, if they haven't already.
>>17066027
Just made some OC for you. I'll try and get some more, I feel the same way.

Or it'll say the file is corrupt. No idea why, it works on my comp.

this makes me wish i could win the lottery and do one of those Prypiat/Chernobyl tours with AK's.

TY OP, dat stuff is great !
I have a couple to add.
>>17068435
>>17068443
Okay, more than a couple.
>>17068446
Last one.
Some fabulous pictures in this thread!
Hey would any of you dare journey into these places alone?I certainly would not.In a group maybe.
>>17068982
Most of them, and the ones I wouldn't are just because they look kind of boring to visit like the mannequin heads. I'd want to bring some form of protection into the houses just in case you get crazy squatters/other shit you didn't sign up for.
My bedroom ha ha
am I right guys?
Ha ha
>>17069286
bwahahah this guy! xD :^)

Shameless self bump!
i dig it
>>17072311
Is this legit? Because it looks like that's either a tiny house or those are big-ass birds.
>>17074313
I think they are Heron, they stand about 4ft tall
>>17074326
Just also seen a seagull bottom right for size comparison for you
>>17074313
>>17074326
I think they're actually pelicans, but either way they are large birds. The house is normal sized.
>>17074335
Thanks, I guess I just cannot into perspective with this one.
>>17065983

former amusement park plänterwald in berlin, been there as a child back in the gdr days... there was a huge "ufo" or spaceship kinda thing, dont know if it is still existing....

>>17068435
what is that place?
>>17074960
I've visited a few times, I recognized it because of the graffiti and paint chipping, never really saw anywhere else that looks the same.
I've heard some weird ass shit happening in KP

Which one of you was it?

In what Shell laboratory is this? Where ever it is it isn't im the Netherlands as the Dutch name would suggest.
>>17074973
Literally, probably one of my friends lol
He goes there to shoot for film school sometimes and loves aliens/memes/being a fag
>>17074971
It's definitely pretty spooks. This guy is not-so-serious but fun, in a Ghost Adventures kind of way. He gets some pretty good stuff in this vid, if you have the time. Weird to see paranormal stuff on video in rooms I've stood in

>Walking in KP with a few friends
>random grill that i didn't know with one of friends
>2 freinds go ahead, me and grill stay back
>me and grill hear gentle piano being played
>yells to friends "do you guys hear that?!"
>friends say "its just the air vents"
>me and grill look at each other because we both hear the piano as well as the air vents
>fast walk out of room to catch up with friends
a few days after that, another friend told me there was a man who used to play piano for the inmates on the weekends
>visited more and more as his wife got sick
>wife died
>so depressed he spends all his time playing at KP
>he died
>"some people still hear him playing at KP"
>2spook
Seriously, has anyone else ever heard of this man? I was freaked out cause I didnt hear this story until after the day I heard the piano

This thread reminds me of the time me and my dad took our boat and hopped on that abandoned McBarge.
Shit was super creepy. The wood was peeling up off the floor and the kitchen was dark as fuck with weird wires and cords handing everywhere. Reminded me of Silent Hill.
Wish I woulda taken some pictures
>>17075351
Just googled it, it looks really cool.
Thanks for all the additional pics and keeping the thread from being...abandoned!

Definitely a witch. She wants people to think it's abandoned, but she doesn't want anyone going in, either.
>>17076705
I know i have witch neighbors they got the +5 ass spell going what are good pickup lines?
>>17076705
Well, to actually enter you NEED to kill the cat, because he gets really aggressive.
You say it's a witch? there's a department on this street too that it's haunted, people go, live like 2-3 weeks and leave.
I don't really know what a witch is, how do i recognize one, what if i find just a homeless old fart.

>>17072311
Half Life 2 coastal area, anyone?
>>17077816
I loved that game and the locations were amazing. The coastal area had abandoned houses that would make nice squats. Kind of makes me wish that I could find a place like that.
>>17072054
What even is all this?
the feeling of abandoned is real in boards like /x/ where you literally have to wait a few hours to have someone posts something
>>17072109
>>17077345
I've got a weird story about this picture. Years ago my now girlfriend says that she saw a painting just like it on someone's wall and felt like she was travelling into the picture and had a sudden burst of knowledge of the future and she saw all these images she didn't understand or recognise. When we met a few years later and I showed her paintings I had done she recognised them all from that experience though I hadn't painted them until long after she had it.

Part of me wants to say this is fake considering how soon he leaves after those people he heard leave. Pretty sure with how much he was freaking out at the end, they would have heard him since there was no way that they were that far from the house by the time he left.
>>17072268
how is this abandoned when it has new windows??

Oh, you.
If no one has heard of this site before, it's a great resource for pictures of abandoned places. I found it years ago and used to browse it all the time. Haven't been there in a while, but it looks like the guy has been busy.
http://opacity.us/
I like him because he's respectful of the locations and doesn't mess with anything. He's also a pretty good photographer.

Nassau County Sanitarium. Old-Bethpage New York.
I explored and roamed this place as a teenager with friends. Scared the shit out of us and we always had to make an excuse as to where we were going to our parents.

You might want to check out Zogs palace an abandoned/torn down mansion in the middle of muttontown preserve
Also in Nassau county
Why are these places abandoned anyway, is it radiation?
>>17084606
Oh come on, whoever drew those wasnt even trying. They just used the most obvious material.
>>17084697
Strange that this place looks very intact while the place next to it crumbled into pieces.
>>17069381
Nowhere, it's a shop. The perspective is messed up if you compare the trees in the foreground and the house itself... Also look at the trees behind the house.

You need to read "The Forbidden" by Clive Barker, about a woman who studies sociology and graffiti as like tribal art in some slum estate but supernatural shit starts happening.
It inspired the movie "Candyman" but the book feels really urbexy.
