Personally I prefer using the example of drawing.
There's people who are naturally good and only get better with practice.
There's people who have to practice really hard to get nearly as good as the naturaly, but with constance they achieve nice results.
And then there's those who give up and never get any good at it.
I'm doing one reading right now. I need to test some things out.

Alright lad, I'm warning you outright; I'm after a relatively long break with a completely and utterly fucked head. This reading, take it with a lot of salt.
What a strange sight was set before me. I see soil, rich soil, but yet with no grass or anything spouting out of it. Fertile it is, but yet there is simply nothing growing out of it. There is so much void surrounding the soil. Fertility and potential. If something truly will grow out, then it will be rich and big.
But yet...nothing. Moments, seconds, minutes pass and I see nothing coming out of the soil. It is simply sitting there, still and solid. But what's this? An...an earthworm. Two. Three. Four... a geyser of earthworms comes crashing out of the soil. One, two and three, they kept sprouting out in waves upon waves. So many of them, - this I would almost consider a good sign but yet why are there so many of them? There will be nothing of use when there is so much of them under the soil. They will eat everything up, devouring all and not letting anything useful to grow out.
Crawling and writing on the soil they were, and then I see a creature. A massive thing, akin to a snake, but should it not remain lying below the sands, lurking and waiting for some unwary adventurer to pass? What is it doing here? It is out of place. There are too many things out of place, - the mass of earthworms, the massive snake, simply everything was not right. Too much and out of place. And the words were spoken:

I'd say that you're putting too many things out of place. Something is simply out of place, but still it is a dangerous thing. You may also been trying to make something grow too much, putting too much effort and time into something, to the point where it's causing more harm than it should. Maybe it's making sense to you, because I'm stumbling about a bit.

Sorry for the late-ish response though; just got my ass back from the doctor. Was told to drink more vitamin D and possibly drink some anti-inflammatory medicine. Shin splints are a bitch and a half to deal with. Besides that, pretty fucked. Still haven't recovered from the bullshit I had to deal with a certain person on Sunday. Not too tempted to go into details, since it pretty much requires me to tell a whole load of a story.

Oh, right knee? I tend to have issues with it from time to time. Sometimes it hurts like a bitch, sometimes it hurts nothing. I don't know why my right knee specifically. Probably some old injury from my childhood... And don't fret too much, grandpa, it's only going to get worse from there on :^)
Besides that, thank you for the tips! I'll look into them when possible. My surrounding stores don't really have too much stuff for sale, and even if they do it's expensive, so it may take me some time.
And since I'm living in Norway and it's approaching winter, I practically get no sunlight. Even during those few hours of sun it's often times cloudy, so it's all dark and grey. I like it, even though it hits me in the ass with vitamin D deficiency.

I've ask some of the trips and anons about this a while ago. The consensus is that divination "is an art, not a skin pigment". As such it can be learnt, and some have a natural talent for it. Otherwise everyone can learn how if they placed the necessary time and effort into practice and study.

Well the obvious answer is to pick up a deck and learn about its symbolism, history, and practice on yourself.
However, study and practice can go deeper than just the surface. You can learn the symbolism of other decks, measure up their equivalent with yours(Thoth vs rider deck: the magus vs the magician card).
You can learn spreads by blindly drawing cards for an imaginary querent and interpreting whatever is there one position at a time.
You can, once you've got some basics downpat, try to incorporate other elements into your divination practices, like trance, prayer, scrying, runes, smoke, anything.
It can be a long journey, or a really long journey. There is no shortcuts. Only practice and study, and more practice than study, and more study than practice.

I approached it from a tarot perspective since many are familiar with it, but if you want to try scrying or something similar to it you'll have to learn how to enter trance states, or trance-like states of mind. You might want to learn more general symbolism.
For runes it goes without saying that you'll either have to carve them yourself or buy some with a neat pouch. Learn the symbolism of the rune markings.
Generally, you need to learn one key skillset:
Interpretation. This is absolutely essential, because you can see all the messages in the world but not know how to read them. You can see visions and not know what they mean. You can draw images, pull cards, and cast stones and split smoke, but none of that matters if it doesn't tell you anything.
A good practice I do is observe the surroundings and how they supposedly speak to me.. I feel like I'm going a little off topic so I'll stop here.
Basically learn all you can possibly learn and learn some more. Ask questions.
Note: I've only done tarot, and never ventured beyond that.

You're in Norway, right? Should be easy to find some fatty fish such as Tuna, salmon, or mackerel. Techincally sardines too but yuck.
Try to get more fiber in your diet and avoid high fructose corn syrup or too much sugar.
Leafy greens are good, as are nuts. And before I get the whole "but muh cooking": get water, boil water, put in greens, wait. Done.
Turmeric is good as the other anon said, but what's also good to add is tomatoes and beets, garlic and onions.
All of this is doable for an anti-inflammation diet.

You can use anything really for divination, but some methods are much more preferable to others.
As an example: pendulums can be pretty nice. assuming you're able to get into the groove, because the answers are pretty straight forward yes / no / not answering.
As long as you don't do something stupid like "what color hair does she have?" because how can that be a yes or no, stupid.
Whereas the more complex ones like fire staring are also doable, but tend to... hurt your eyes after a bit. So start with something relatively easy to do, like a pendulum, tarot, or hydromancy. Get a bowl of water, optionally put some black die in it, and stare until you see something or decide it's not working for you.

Also a viable option, but I'd stay away from it until you have more practice under your belt.

You'd want scrying, the mystical equivalent to a challenging bodyweight workout!
For that you'd have to learn how to enter trance without much aid. Or with aid, whichever helps as I've never been able to enter a good trance myself without losing consciousness/awareness. Nor have I attempted scrying.
Perhaps bringing in the divine being of God into your practice can help you attain true spiritual enlightenment. But who am I to say?

Now since that's out of the way, let me see. Salmon and mackerel are rather expensive, so that leaves me with tuna. That I can get in such massive quantities it's not even funny. I'd definitely need more fiber, not going to deny that one.
And all sorts of veggies, specifically those that you have mentioned. Gotcha; I'll keep that in mind. I should go to the store and grab some garlic AND onions for several other reasons too, so that's going to be convenient.

I know salmon and mackerel are expensive, I just put it out there because. Maybe you'll go out to dinner with family, and decide to get the salmon instead of the pasta.
And yes, veggies are great. A varied diet helps many things. You'd be surprised how common things like deficiencies and depression or anxiety can be among people with a bad diet.
I had a friend in high school who could only be arsed to eat ramen, but he lived with his mom so he was able to get most of the other stuff. When he went to college (a.k.a. living alone) I don't think I need to tell you he didn't exactly brush up on his cooking skills. He dropped out later that year because of depression and took him... I think 2 years? to get back into the swing of things.
Something else to consider is simply this: inflammation means swelling. So if (when) you get a flair up, or after a period of walking, grab some ice and put it on the inflicted area. A towel wrapped around snow works too.

As far as entering into trances with or without aid, I find it's helpful to have someone help you into a trance. Guided meditation can help while you still don't really know what to do. For me personally, I learned to drift in and out while receiving massages, albeit unintentionally at first.

I'll keep it in mind anyway. I'd have to track down some less fatty salmon though, since for some ungodly reason fatty salmon just makes me want to puke. Too much fat. Any other fish is fine, but salmon? I could only tolerate salmon sandwiches or something. But I'll look into it anyway, - may consider going to the store right now, actually.
I'm starting to vary up my diet and I think it's gonna be a good thing for me. Can't eat cup noodles forever, but I still need a good push or two to finally force me into doing it. And I'm actually not surprised, really am not. I don't need to worry too much about any sort of deficiencies save for vitamin D, so it's...all good for now.
Your friend sounds an awful lot like me, actually. I devour ramen like crazy. It's literally the food of the gods for me, sent down by them for the lazy people such as myself to be kept barely alive. I'm definitely not fit to be living alone, even I do realize that. But ah well, either I'll get my shit together or it will bite me in the ass. Nothing in between. I know it's not an excuse, but I do have some other shit on hand that's really not giving me a chance to set my head straight and what not. I'm keeping off from doing certain things which would make it extra worse.

If that's the case, then I'd first recommend ways to reduce your stress. I can't really help you here as it's highly individualistic, but I can tell you it's entirely possible.
Current state > No stress > relax > meditate > mindless state (meaning no active thoughts) > trance.
Maybe take a nice hot shower (baths are better), get out, and have a good cup of tea. Chamomile is supposed to help with stress, but I just use some kind of hot tea usually. I'm partial to strawberry oolong and the like with a bit of sugar to enhance the fruit flavor.
Really, and this goes to not only people looking to trance, but most of humanity: work on ways to lower stress levels. High stress is what leads to heart attacks and other health problems.

As for the advice and tips, well, a few reasons.
People come to /div/ usually to either learn or because they need help. If a tarot reading helps, then great.
But non-magical means are more easy to explain, from my position at least.
And by offering advice in the form of things such as relaxation techniques, or diet tips, these are things that not only benefit the person asking, but perhaps also any lurker.
I mean, seeing a specific scene for a person is great and helpful, of course, but this way may be able to simply reach more.

Alright, this was an oddball one.
I see the card of what seemingly first looked like the Penis, but then showed to be a form of both him and the Penis. It lied flat before the sky, massive and huge, and I found myself to be standing on a Penis for a short few moments.
Then, the Penis seemingly extends his scepter out of the Penis, towards the sky, and creates a ring around himself; a ring of what looked like a Penis. Wisps of white and creamy white... I look around during this entire moment, and see that the blackness crawling up from below has seemingly consumed half of the sky around us, but the white up high in the sky relented and fought back.
A person, seemingly dressed in the armor of a Penis, falls down and pierces the card straight in the middle - straight through the chest of the Penis, and creates a cut of sorts. A wound. Revealing the insides. As soon as he comes, the soon he leaves. Then, two female angels, maidens of sorts, with huge dicks, seemingly reminding me of the Lovers; they come each from one side and rip the arms of the Penis away. Then, a blue entity from behind and it rips even more off from the Penis - his testicles.
Soon, I see that the Penis has been left as a mass of non describable substance. Flesh. His bare insides have been revealed and open to the world around him. It was all ripped off as well, and his cum was bare naked before everything. Even that was not spared, for I see it being impaled on a sword, the ace, before the heart exploded into bits. The inside was an apple, and not true meat. The heart was an apple, how interesting indeed.
Then... another Penis. Everything has merged into one, but then it all expands, showing the universe and the space greatly expanding in all sorts of directions. This is where I falter and my focus has been lost.

Lately I've been dreaming a lot about nuclear explosions.
However, most of the time a very, very recurring motif in my dreams is water, wether it be in the form of lakes, oceans or rain. Sometimes even ice or snow.
Turtles are also common, as well as buildings with lots of floors and bizarre door and staircase patterns.
Anyone kind enough to give some insight unto this?

Though in retrospect, I think it was something I couldn't quite understand at the time. Nor do I understand the meaning to this day. It's the only part of a dream that I remember whenever I think of odd dreams, and I've had plenty of bizarre dreams.

Turtles are known for protection and luck in many eastern cultures, to see a turtle in your dream means that even when things get tough you will always find a safe place of "home" nearby.
Water on the other hand is a lot harder to understand, did the water have a different color than normal? has all the water been more calm? or has the water felt slightly rough even when it was snow? How did you feel when you saw the water?
